Delhi govt launches ‘Business Blasters’ Programme

  • This programme was launched with the aim of developing young entrepreneurs at school-level by providing students some seed money in order to start a business.
  • It will be implemented across all the Delhi government schools under the “Entrepreneurship Mindset Curriculum (EMC)”.
  • Under the programme, class 11 and 12 students will be provided seed money of Rs 2,000 to start their business.
  • The programme was started at the School of Excellence Khichripur under a pilot project. 9 groups of 41 students were formed in this and they were provided the seed money of Rs 1,000. They made huge profits in it.
  • Business Blasters programme will become a basis of India’s progress. Thorough this programme, students will not run after jobs, but jobs will come to them.
  • If this programme is implemented properly, it can take India from being a developing country to a developed one. It will also help in addressing the problem of unemployment.
  • Drawback of Indian education system
  • Biggest drawback of the Indian education system was that students were being provided education but an entrepreneurial mindset was not being inculcated. This initiative would help in changing the mindset.
