- CII Asia Health 2021 summit was held in October 28, 2021.
- Summit was addressed by the union minister for Health & Family Welfare, Dr Mansukh Mandaviya.
- In his address minister noted that, with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Health has been linked with development in India. Earlier, health was meant for treatment only. Linkage of health with development will bring health & prosperity in India.
- He also emphasized that, Preventive care is an essential component of health sector. Initiatives like Yoga, Khelo India etc play a significant role in realising the aim of healthy society.
- According to him, Government is committed to Access, Accountability, Affordability, Adoption and Awareness for a better future of healthcare sector. Government has also been working towards achieving these objectives.
