- On 20 October 2021; the Mount Aso Volcano erupted in Kyushu Island, Japan.
- Mount Aso, the largest volcano in Japan and one of the largest worldwide, stands on Kyushu’s island, in Aso Kuju National Park in Kumamoto Prefecture.
- The volcano ejected gas and ash up to the height of 3,500 metres.
- Last eruption in this volcano taken place in 2016, that is why Japan Meteorological Agency gave pre-warning to the people residing near it
- Mount Aso Volcano, having a circumference of about 120 km, is 1,592 meters above sea level.
- It should be known that Japan as it is located on the Pacific Ring of Fire, is among the world’s most volcanically active countries.
