- Right Livelihood Award 2021 has been conferred to Delhi-based environmental organisation Legal Initiative for Forest and Environment (LIFE).
- This award is also known as Sweden’s alternative Nobel Prize.
- LIFE has received the award for its grassroots approach to empower vulnerable communities in protecting their livelihoods.
- LIFE has not only advocated for the protection of their livelihoods but also claimed for their right to a clean environment.
