Chamba became the 100th 'Har Ghar Jal' district

• Jal Jeevan Mission achieved another milestone by providing tap water to every household in 100 districts of the country.

• The aspirational district of Himachal Pradesh, Chamba has become the 100th 'Har Ghar Jal' district of the country.

• Chamba is the fifth aspirational district to become 'Har Ghar Jal'.

• The other four Har Ghar are water aspiring districts- Bhadradri Kothagudem, Jaishankar Bhupalpally, Komaram Bheem Asifabad (all in Telangana) and Mewat in Haryana.

• 60,000 crore has been allocated for 'Har Ghar Jal' in the Union Budget 2022-23.
