EUA to Corbevax for 12-18 Age Group

• A vaccine manufacturer based in Hyderabad, Biological E has received emergency use authorization (EUA) from the drug regulator of India for its Covid-19 vaccine for children aged 12 to 18.

• Biological E’s Corbevax vaccine was earlier approved by the Drugs Controller General of India for limited usage in adults during emergency situations in 2019.

• Based on the results that were seen during the ongoing Phase II and Phase III clinical research, the Drugs Controller General of India has given its approval for the vaccine to be used in teenagers who are aged between 12 to 18 years.
