- Hisashi Takeuchi has been appointed as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Maruti Suzuki.
- His term will be from 1 April 2022 to 31 March 2025.
- Takeuchi will replace Kenichi Ayukawa as MD and CEO.
- Ayukawa will now be named as Executive Vice President for a period of six months from April 1, 2022 to September 30, 2022.
- Ayukawa joined as MD, MSIL in 2013.
