• Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced the 'Sushma Swaraj Puraskar' award to the women of the state.

• The 'Sushma Swaraj Puraskar' will be given to women for their significant contribution or achievements at the national and international level in various fields.

•  The Sushma Swaraj Award will carry a prize money of Rs 5 lakh along with a citation.

• Sushma Swaraj was born on 14 February 1952 in Ambala Cantt, Haryana.

• He died of a heart attack on 7 August 2019.
