Civil Service Day

• Civil Service Day is celebrated across the country on 21st April, 2022.

• Addressing the first civil service session at Menkoff House on this day on 21 April 1947, the country's first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel called civil servants the Steel Frame of India.

• The Government of India had decided to celebrate 21 April every year as Civil Services Day from the year 23 2006.
