- He will be the 29th Chief of the Army Staff of the country.
- Presently he is serving as the Deputy Chief of the Army Staff.
- He will replace General Manoj Mukund Naravane (current Chief of Army Staff).
- He will be appointed to this post on April 30, 2022.
- Lt Gen Manoj C Pandey was commissioned into the Corps of Engineers (The Bombay Sappers) of the Indian Army on 24 December 1982.
- Lt Gen Manoj C Pandey has been awarded the Param Vishisht Seva Medal, Ati Vishisht Seva Medal and Vishisht Seva Medal for his outstanding service.
