Vinay Mohan Kwatra appointed as the new Foreign Secretary of the country

• The Government of India appointed Vinay Mohan Kwatra, a senior officer of the Indian Foreign Service, as the new Foreign Secretary of the country.

• He is a 1988 batch IFS officer.

• He will assume office on April 30, 2022.

• Presently working as Ambassador of India to Nepal.

• He will replace Harshvardhan Ringla in this post.
