world day against child labor

• June 12th marks the World Day Against Child Labor under the theme "Universal Social Protection to End Child Labour".

• On this day, the ILO, along with its constituents and partners, is calling for increased investment in social security systems and schemes to establish solid social security floors and protect children from child labour.

• According to the International Labor Organization (ILO), around 152 million children are engaged in child labor globally, of which 72 million are in hazardous work.
