India's unemployment rate rises

• According to a report released by the Center for Monitoring Indian Economy (CMIE), the country's unemployment rate rose to 7.83% in April, from 7.60% in March.

•   According to the data released, the unemployment rate in urban areas was higher at 9.22 per cent as compared to 8.28% in March.

• India's unemployment rate rose to 7.80 percent, with Haryana and Rajasthan topping the unemployment rate list.
