• India has established this cooperative under the theme "Building a self-reliant India and a better world through cooperation".

• On 16 December 1992, the first Saturday of July was declared by the United Nations General Assembly as the International Day of Cooperation.

• The day aims to promote cooperatives globally and create an environment that fosters their expansion and profitability.

• The theme for the year 2022 is "Cooperatives Build a Better World".
