- FIFA alleges that the AIFF is acting under the undue influence of third parties, which is a serious violation of FIFA law.
- FIFA said in a statement that the suspension would be lifted after a committee of administrators for the AIFF Executive Committee was formed.
- With this, the hosting of the FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, to be held in India from October 11 to 30, is also in danger.
- FIFA has said that the suspension will come into force with immediate effect.
