- The Financial Action Task Force (FATF) removed Pakistan from the 'Grey List' after four years.
- The FATF took this decision at its plenary meeting held in Paris on 21 October.
- Pakistan's imports, exports and remittances have all been affected due to this outrageous greylisting, which also restricted Pakistan's access to foreign funding.
- Pakistan was on the gray list of the FATF since June 2018 due to deficiencies in its anti-terrorism financing and anti-money laundering regime.
- The FATF said Islamabad will continue to work with the Asia/Pacific Group on Money Laundering to improve its anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing system.
