First woman president of Indian Olympic Association

• PT Usha is set to become the first woman president of the Indian Olympic Association.

• She emerged as the lone candidate for the top post in the election to be held on December 10.

• He filed his nomination papers for the post of IOA President on 27 November 2022.

• She will also be the first Olympian and the first international medalist to head the IOA in its 95-year history.

• Ajay Patel will be the Senior Vice President of the National Rifle Association of India. He is also the only candidate for the post.

• PT Usha is a multiple Asian Games gold medalist and finished fourth in the final of the 1984 Olympics 400m hurdles.

• She is often referred to as the "Queen of Indian Track and Field". They are also known as 'Payyoli Express'.
