Air Defense Exercise 'Veer Guardian 2023'

• The inaugural edition of air defense exercise 'Veer Guardian 2023' concluded in Japan on 26 January 2023.

• Veer Guardian 2023 was a joint air defense exercise between the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Japan Air Self Defense Force (JASDF).

• The Japan Air Self-Defense Force participated in the exercise with its F-2 and F-15 aircraft.

• Indian Air Force contingent participated in the exercise with Sukhoi-30 MKI aircraft.

• One IL-78 flight refueling aircraft and two C-17 Globemaster strategic airlift transport aircraft were also present with the IAF combat crew.

• The IAF and JASDF carried out aerial manoeuvre, interception and air defense missions in both visual and beyond visual range settings.
