Maritime Exercise TROPEX,2023

• The 2023 edition of the Indian Navy's maritime exercise TROPEX has begun in the Indian Ocean region.

• The theatre-level strategic preparedness exercise (TROPEX-23) is being conducted over a period of 3 months from January to March 2023.

• TROPEX-23 is being carried out in various phases both in harbor and at sea.

• Under this exercise, all surface combat aircraft of the Indian Navy undergo operational deployment to validate the Navy's concept of operations.

• TROPEX-23 provides an opportunity to assess the combat readiness of the Combined Fleet of the Indian Navy to operate in a multi-threat environment.

• TROPEX-23 also facilitates operational level exchanges with the Indian Air Force, Indian Army and Coast Guard.
