- Air Marshal AP Singh will take over as the new Vice Chief of the Indian Air Force.
- He will succeed Air Marshal Sandeep Singh, who retires on January 31.
- He will take over as deputy chief on February 1.
- He is currently serving as the Air Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Central Air Command.
- For his "distinguished" services, Singh was awarded the "Ati Vishisht Seva Medal" by the President of India on Republic Day in 2019.
- Singh also headed the MiG 29 upgrade project management team in Moscow, Russia.
