- The Indian Army and the French Army will participate in the joint military exercise 'Fringeux-23' on March 7-8.
- For the first time, armies of both the countries are joining in this format with each troop having a company group.
- The objective of the exercise is to enhance interoperability, coordination and cooperation between the two forces.
- Thiruvananthapuram-based Indian Army unit and France's 6th Light Armored Brigade will participate in the exercise.
- The French contingent is part of the French Marine Regiment on mission to DIXMUDE.
- The theme for the exercise is based on "Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Operations in Conflict Environments".
