Exercise 'Fringeux-23'

• The Indian Army and the French Army will participate in the joint military exercise 'Fringeux-23' on March 7-8.

• For the first time, armies of both the countries are joining in this format with each troop having a company group.

• The objective of the exercise is to enhance interoperability, coordination and cooperation between the two forces.

• Thiruvananthapuram-based Indian Army unit and France's 6th Light Armored Brigade will participate in the exercise.

• The French contingent is part of the French Marine Regiment on mission to DIXMUDE.

• The theme for the exercise is based on "Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Operations in Conflict Environments".
