military exercise 'Kavach'

• India's only tri-services Andaman and Nicobar Command conducted joint military exercise 'X-Kavach' on 5 April 2023.

• Various drills including amphibious landing, airborne landing operations, heliborne operations were carried out by the troops during the exercise.

• Weapon systems from the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force as well as the Coast Guard were deployed during the exercise.

• The main objective of the exercise is to improve joint combat capability and operational synergy.

• The exercise involved assets from the Army, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard.

• Joint activities for intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance were also conducted during the exercise.

• The exercise was earlier to be conducted in 2021 as AMPHEX-21.
