'Miniratna Category-I' status to Solar Energy Corporation of India

  • On 10 April, Central Public Sector Enterprise (CPSE) Miniratna Category-I status has been conferred on Solar Energy Corporation of India.
  • Solar Energy Corporation of India is committed to achieve a target of 500 GW of non-fossil fuel based capacity by 2030.
  • So far, a project capacity of more than 56 GW has been awarded to Solar Energy Corporation of India.
  • Solar Energy Corporation of India is also active in setting up projects through its own investments.
  • ICRA has assigned the highest credit rating of AAA to Solar Energy Corporation of India.
  • Solar Energy Corporation of India has played an important role in increasing India's renewable energy capacity.
