• The theme for World Malaria Day 2023 is “Time to Delivery Zero Malaria: Invest, Innovate, Implement”.

• In 2007, the World Health Organization (WHO) adopted World Malaria Day at the 60th session of the World Health Assembly.

• According to the World Health Organization report, in 2021, there were an estimated 247 million cases of malaria in 84 countries.

• The number of malaria cases is projected to increase from 245 million in 2020 to 247 million in 2021.
