- A new border-haat was inaugurated between India and Bangladesh at Bholaganj in Sylhet.
- The new border-haat was jointly inaugurated by Imran Ahmed from the Bangladesh side and Neeraj Kumar Jaiswal, Assistant High Commissioner of India.
- A border-haat has been opened at Bholaganj on the border between Sylhet in Bangladesh and East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya.
- This is the fourth border haat in Sylhet division. Three more border haats will be opened in Sylhet division.
- The Border Haat will open only on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
- 26 stalls from India and 24 stalls from Bangladesh will be present in the Haat. In this market, traditional items of both the countries will be sold duty free.
- The first border haat between India and Bangladesh was opened in West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya in 2011.
