- On 19 June, the multinational peacekeeping joint exercise "X Khan Quest 2023" began with the participation of military contingents and observers from over 20 countries.
- Mr. Ukhnagin Khurelsukh, President of Mongolia inaugurated the exercise at a ceremony held at the exercise site.
- The Indian Army contingent is also participating in the multinational peacekeeping joint exercise.
- A contingent of the Garhwal Rifles is representing the Indian Army.
- The 14-day exercise aims to enhance interoperability of the participating countries, share experiences and train uniformed personnel for United Nations Peacekeeping Operations (UNPKO).
- The exercise will prepare participants for future UN peacekeeping missions, develop peacekeeping capability and enhance military preparedness.
- The exercise includes Command Post Exercise (CPX), Field Training Exercise (FTX), Combat Discussion, Lecture and Demonstration.
