Naval Exercise 'Ektha'

  • Divers and Marine Commandos of the Indian Navy along with the Maldivian National Defense Force are participating in the 6th edition of Exercise 'EKTHA'.
  • The exercise will be conducted in the Maldives from June 4 to July 3.
  • Its main objective is to enhance interoperability between the two navies.
  • It will enhance cooperation in diving and special operations and counter-terrorism, maritime security, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief operations.
  • The 'Ekatha' exercise includes joint exercises, workshops, seminars, tabletop exercises and specialized training in various combat related activities.
  • The fifth edition of the exercise was conducted from 5 Sep 2022 to 3 Oct 2022.
