Asian Athletics Championships, 2023

• In the Asian Athletics Championships 2023, Indian athletes won a total of 27 medals, including six gold, 12 silver and nine bronze medals.

• The championship was held from 12 to 16 July at Suphachalsai National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

• India finished third in the medals tally behind Japan (37) and China (22).

• India's Jyoti Yaraji, Parul Chowdhary, Tajinder Pal Singh Toor, Abdullah Abubakar, Ajay Kumar Saroj and the mixed relay team won gold medals.

• This year, Lord Hanuman was chosen as the official mascot of the Asian Athletics Championships in Thailand.
