- In women's singles, Si-young defeated Taiwan's Tai Tzu Ying 21-9, 21-15.
- Satwik and Chirag also won the Swiss Open, Asian Championship and Indonesia Open this year.
- The Indian pair had a 2-2 score against Alfian and Ardianto, but had defeated the Indonesian pair on the previous two occasions.
- Prior to this, Satwik and Chirag won several titles, including Commonwealth Games gold, Thomas Cup, bronze medals at World Championships and Super 300 (Syed Modi and Swiss Open) wins.
