Sakshat Mahila Rin Yojana

• Himachal government has launched a collateral-free loan scheme for women “Sashakt Mahila Loan Yojana” which will empower women.

• It is an initiative of the Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank (HPSCB), which will provide loans to women for self-employment and livelihood activities, meet their day-to-day needs, make them financially independent and improve their socio-economic status.

• Under the scheme, women applicants are not required to provide any collateral as security against the loan amount.

• Under the scheme, banks will provide loans of Rs 21,000, Rs 51,000 and Rs 1,01,000 at a relatively low interest rate of 8.51%.
