- “Exercise Yudh Abhyas” will be conducted from 25 September to 8 October 2023.
- The 19th edition of “Exercise Yudh Abhyas” will be held at Fort Wainwright, Alaska, United States.
- It is an annual exercise conducted jointly by the Indian Army and the United States Army.
- Indian Army contingent of Maratha Light Infantry Regiment consisting of 350 personnel is participating in this edition of the exercise.
- From the US side, 1-24 Infantry Battalion of the 1st Brigade Combat Team will participate.
- The theme of the exercise is 'Employment of an Integrated Battle Group in Mountainous/Extreme Climate Conditions'.
- Both sides will practice a series of tactical exercises to enhance interoperability in the conduct of UN peacekeeping operations.
- “Yudh Abhyas-23” will also help both the armies learn from each other and further strengthen the relationship between the two armies.
