New Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Railway Board

• Jaya Verma Sinha has been appointed as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Railway Board.

• Jaya Verma Sinha is the first woman to be appointed to this post.

• His appointment has been approved by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

• He is currently posted as Member (Operations and Business Development) in Railway Board.

• She will replace Anil Kumar Lahoti. She will take charge on or after September 1.

• His tenure will last till August 31 next year.
