Aviation Security Awareness Week 2023

• Aviation Security Awareness Week 2023 is being observed by the Airports Authority of India.

• On November 28, the week-long celebration has begun and is being celebrated at all airports and ANS locations managed by AAI across India.

• Various initiatives and actions have been taken by the Directorate of Aviation Security to enhance security in AAI operations.

• This includes conduct of security audit of 57 airports and ANS centres, surprise check of wildlife threat management at 14 airports, seven training programs across India, training of approximately 175 officials and launch of quarterly security magazine “Sahaas”.

• AAI will run various employee engagement programs at airports and ANS stations to increase awareness about aviation security.
