Exercise Bongosagar-23

• Indian Navy and Bangladesh Navy conducted Bongosagar-23 in the North Bay of Bengal from 07 to 09 November 2023.

• Both the navies also conducted the 5th edition of Coordinated Patrol (CORPAT) in the North Bay of Bengal from 07 to 09 November 2023.

• Bongosagar-23 is the fourth edition of the bilateral exercise between the Indian Navy and Bangladesh Navy.

• Ships and aircraft of both the navies conducted joint patrolling along the International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL).

• Indian Naval ships Kuthar, Kiltan and Maritime Patrol Aircraft (MPA) Dornier participated in the exercise.

• Bangladesh Navy ships Abu Bakr, Abu Ubaidah and MPA also participated in the exercise.

• CORPAT-23 also included the first Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief (HADR) exercise conducted between the two navies.
