- Sanjay Singh has won the election of the new President of Wrestling Federation of India (WFI).
- He was elected the new President of WFI. He got 40 votes in the election.
- The other applicant, Commonwealth Games gold medal-winning wrestler Anita Sheoran, received 7 votes.
- Mr. Singh is the Vice President of Uttar Pradesh Wrestling Association.
- He previously served on the Executive Council of the WFI. He is also its joint secretary since 2019.
- He will replace controversial Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh as WFI chief.
