• The second edition of 'Exercise Cyclone' began between India and Egypt.

• A 25-member contingent of the Indian Army is participating in the second edition of 'Exercise Cyclone'.

• The exercise is to be conducted from 22 January to 1 February 2024.

• The first edition of 'Exercise Cyclone' was to be held in India in 2023.

• The Indian contingent is being represented by soldiers of the Parachute Regiment while the Egyptian Commando Squadron and the Egyptian Airborne Platoon are representing Egypt.

• The main objective of the exercise is to familiarize both sides with each other's operating procedures in desert/semi-desert terrain.
