• According to the report of Transparency International, India is ranked 93rd in the Global Corruption Index with 39 points.

• More than two-thirds of the 180 ranked countries on the Global Corruption Index score below 50.

• The Corruption Perceptions Index uses a scale from 0 to 100, where 0 is extremely corrupt and 100 is very clean.

• India's total score in 2023 was 39 while in 2022 it was 40. India's rank in 2022 was 85.

• Denmark took first place for the sixth consecutive year. Finland and New Zealand took second and third place respectively.

• The top 10 countries in the index include Norway (84), Singapore (83), Sweden (82), Switzerland (82), Netherlands (79), Germany (78), and Luxembourg (78).
