- 1988 batch IPS officer Rashmi Shukla was elected DG of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) in March 2023.
- Before this, she had been Pune Police Commissioner and Chief of Intelligence Department in Maharashtra.
- IPS Shukla was seen as close to the BJP government, so after the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government came to power in 2019, he had to suffer the consequences.
