New Vice Chief of Indian Navy

• Vice Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi takes charge as Vice Chief of the Indian Navy.

• Vice Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi has replaced Vice Admiral Sanjay J Singh, who became the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Naval Command.

• Dinesh K Tripathi joined the Indian Navy on 1 July 1985. He served as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command.

• He is an alumnus of the National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla.

• He has served as Signal Communications Officer and Electronic Warfare Officer on front line warships of the Navy.
