First woman helicopter pilot in Indian Navy

  • Sub Lieutenant Anamika B Rajeev became the first woman helicopter pilot of the Indian Navy during a passing out parade held at Naval Air Station INS Rajali in Arakkonam in Ranipet district.
  • The coveted "Golden Wings" were awarded to 21 officers by Vice Admiral Rajesh Pendharkar, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command.
  • On June 7, a passing out parade was held to mark the graduation of the 102nd Helicopter Conversion Course.
