India's first Biosphere Tiger Reserve

• Jai Dhar Gupta and Vijay Dhasmana are working on a project to create India's first biosphere within a tiger reserve.

• The Rajaji Raghati Biosphere (RRB) is a 35-acre private forest within the Rajaji National Park in Uttarakhand.

• Jai Dhar Gupta and Vijay Dhasmana and their team conducted extensive surveys to identify suitable native plant species, especially those rare or endangered species that are endemic to the region.

• The first phase of plantation was launched in 2023 with around 80 species.
