- The “E-Mobility R&D Roadmap for India” has been released by the Government.
- It is a comprehensive roadmap aimed at establishing India as a world leader in electric vehicle (EV) technology.
- At Vigyan Bhawan Annexe in New Delhi, Professor Ajay Kumar Sood, Principal Scientific Adviser to the Government of India, launched the roadmap.
- Energy storage cells, EV aggregates, materials and recycling, and charging and refuelling are the four main focus areas of the roadmap.
- It provides a five-year plan to become self-reliant in these critical areas.
