Hemant Soren became the Chief Minister of Jharkhand for the third time

  • On July 4, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) working president Hemant Soren was sworn in as the new chief minister of Jharkhand.
  • Governor CP Radhakrishnan administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Soren at a ceremony held at the Raj Bhavan.
  • He was sworn in as the state's chief minister for the third time, days after the High Court released him on bail in an alleged money laundering case.
