• Income Tax Day is celebrated every year on 24th July.

• It is celebrated to spread awareness about the importance of taxes and to encourage more and more people to pay taxes for the development of the nation.

• This year the 165th Income Tax Day was celebrated.

• In 2010, the Income Tax Department decided to celebrate 24th July as Income Tax Day.
