- The Indian Army contingent has left to participate in the fifth edition of India-Oman Joint Military Exercise Al Najah.
- It will be held at Rabkoot Training Area in Salalah, Oman from September 13 to 26.
- Exercise Al Najah is being held once every two years since 2015 on an alternating basis between India and Oman.
- The Indian Army contingent comprises 60 personnel, including a battalion of the Mechanised Infantry Regiment and members from various branches and services.
- The exercise will focus on operations in a desert environment.
