New Chairman of Airports Authority of India

  • Vipin Kumar became the new Chairman of the Airports Authority of India (AAI).
  • Prior to this appointment, Vipin Kumar served as Additional Secretary in the Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Education.
  • The Airports Authority of India was established on April 1, 1995 by an Act of Parliament.
  • The AAI currently operates 133 airports, including 28 civil enclaves and 8 privately controlled airports.
