• Senior BJP leader Nayab Singh was sworn in as Haryana chief minister for the second consecutive term on October 17.

• The swearing-in ceremony was held at Shalimar Ground in Panchkula.

• On October 16, Mr Singh met Governor Bandaru Dattatreya and staked claim to form a new government in the state after being elected leader of the BJP legislature party.

• Haryana Governor Dattatreya administered the oath of office and secrecy to Mr Singh.
