- The 31st edition of the Singapore-India Maritime Bilateral Exercise (SIMBEX) is scheduled to be held from 23 to 29 October 2024.
- Singapore Naval Ship RSS Tenacious is participating in SIMBEX2024.
- The exercise is scheduled to be conducted in two phases - Harbour Phase at Visakhapatnam from 23 to 25 October and Sea Phase in the Bay of Bengal from 28 to 29 October.
- The main objective of the exercise is to further strengthen the strategic partnership between India and Singapore by enhancing inter-operability and improving maritime domain awareness.
- Cross-deck visits, sports events and pre-sail briefings between personnel of the two navies will be part of the Harbour Phase.
- SIMBEX began in 1994 as 'Exercise Lion King' between Singapore and India.
