Good Governance Day, 2024

• Good Governance Day is celebrated every year on 25 December to mark the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

• This year marks the 100th birth anniversary of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.

• The centenary celebrations began with the inauguration of the Atal Health Fair in Lucknow.

• Atal Smriti Sabhas will be organised at various places. Schools and colleges will also organise poetry recitations and other programmes based on Vajpayee's work.

• Good Governance Day was initiated by the Government of India in 2014.
