38th National Games 2025

The 38th National Games 2025 were held from January 28 to February 14, 2025, in Uttarakhand. Athletes from 28 states, 8 Union Territories, and the Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) participated in 32 different sports in this multi-sport event.

Medal Tally:

  • Services Sports Control Board (SSCB): 68 Gold, 26 Silver, 27 Bronze
  • Maharashtra: 54 Gold, 71 Silver, 76 Bronze
  • Haryana: 48 Gold, 47 Silver, 58 Bronze
  • Host state Uttarakhand won a total of 33 medals with 7 Gold, 11 Silver, and 15 Bronze, securing 7th position in the medal tally.

New Records:

A total of 58 new records were set during this event, including 9 national records and 49 national games records. The breakdown of new records is as follows:

  • Archery: 22
  • Athletics: 15
  • Swimming: 6
  • Weightlifting: 6

Closing Ceremony:

  • The closing ceremony was held on February 14, 2025, in Haldwani, with Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Shri Pushkar Singh Dhami, Meghalaya Chief Minister Shri Conrad Sangma, and Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President Mrs. P.T. Usha among the distinguished guests.
  • During the ceremony, Meghalaya was honored with the privilege of hosting the 39th National Games in 2026.
  • The 38th National Games marked a significant achievement for Uttarakhand, establishing the state as a prominent sports hub.
